I am completely enamored with these rings! I can't imagine selecting any other option. I have tried numerous mounts and rings throughout the years, and without spending a fortune, I believe that this product offers the best value for your money. These rings exude an impressive solidity and durability, and the elongated design provides a comfortable and snug fit for the scope. I have recommended these rings to others and even purchased additional sets for myself, and I intend to acquire more in the future!

    Rock Solid Rings

Crafted from milled aluminum rather than cast, these rings provide a precise fit for any 1" diameter scope to be attached to a Picatinny rail. Although not mentioned in the product description, it is worth noting that the High version of the rings positions the bottom of the ring 0.75" above the top of the rail. The term "Extreme" aptly describes the rings, which are 1" wide and employ a lockwasher to secure the nut on the base. There are three screws on each side of the ring top that affix it to its base. I utilize blue Locktite on each screw before tightening them. For optimal performance, the recommended torque for the ring top screws is 20 in lbs, while that for the base nuts is between 65-100 in lbs.

    Solid Grasp, Not too heavy

Although I am not a scopes or rings expert, I have been expeditiously learning by utilizing a significant amount of ammunition on the range and spending gas money to visit various sporting goods stores to experiment with different rings and scopes on my Sig .308. After extensive experimentation, I ultimately decided to use these rings, and I am thoroughly pleased with their performance. Although they may appear somewhat bulky and unappealing, they undoubtedly fulfill their intended purpose. I conducted six groups of three shots each, re-torquing every two groups, and the third torque displayed no movement. A final inspection at home also revealed no further movement. In the end, the last two groups were impressively accurate, given the low-quality ammunition that I was utilizing, displaying 1.5 MOA out of bulk ammo.

    Perfect for AR in High

Although they are not the most lightweight option on the market, the Burris Xtreme Tactical Rings are somewhat bulky. As a preferred choice for AR platform rifles, I always opt for the High version since it positions the scope as close to the barrel as feasible, while still providing sufficient elevation. These rings possess a considerable thickness and solidity, and are incredibly robust. While I have tested the extra high version before, I found myself having to slightly lift my head to obtain an appropriate view through the scope. I have been a loyal buyer of these rings for several years and will undoubtedly continue to purchase them.

Worked perfectly for 50 mm scope

    5 out of 5
    Location:
    Date: February 14, 2023

The ring height of the Burris Xtreme Tactical Rings proved to be an impeccable match for a 50 mm scope mounted on an AR15 Picatinny rail, with approximately 1/16 inch of clearance. Installation was a breeze, and despite their lightweight construction, the rings exhibited impressive sturdiness. Although I did not award the product a full five-star rating, it was only due to my lack of opportunity to fully test its steadiness after firing several hundred rounds. Nonetheless, I have confidence in the rings' robustness and do not anticipate any problems in this regard.

My Burris xtreme tactical rings review

These rings are excellent, plus they look awesome! I put them on my Savage 12FV in .22-250, and they hold zero very well. I like how they have a sizeable gripping surface on the scope. The sizing is different than other companies. I usually buy high rings, but after I added a Ken Farrell 1pc base I figured I'd go with the lows. There's about 1/4" clearance between the scope and barrel with the lows and Farrell base.

burris tactical rings are very good

They are very good looking, strong rings, but there is one problem with them. I bought the medium height like I always have for all of my 40 mm objective scopes and the scope was about one half inch above my barrel on my Remington 700 SPS Varmint. These medium rings are comparable to other high rings. I am exchanging them for the low rings though. They are great rings, but just beware of the height.

Awesome rings. Great value for the money. These rings are extra wide, giving them great contact with the scope for zero movements. I used them on a Remington 700 30-06 with a Millett 1-Piece Picatinny-Style Scope Base for Remington 700 with outstanding results. The low rings with that base allowed plenty of clearance for a 40mm scope and would fit a 50mm fine.

Best Scope Rings for the money

I don't like to mess with stuff that doesn't work, and this works. I had a set of cheap vortex scope rings on a 308 of mine, and they did not do the job. My scope was moving forward, and I could not get the rifle to group. I ordered these Burris Xtreme tactical rings, and the problem is solved. The scope is mounted solid, and they don't look too bad either. I didn't want to go with the big tactical rings, but the function is more important than the finish. I can rely on my scope to hold zero and not worry about the little things anymore. I will be using these from now on. Also, these don't precisely specify, but they will fit a Weaver rail.
