Best scope I've seen for the $$

I purchased this scope for my TC Demension .30-06 set-up, and it has exceeded my expectations. The scope's optics are crystal clear, making it easy to operate. It zeroed in at 200 yards without any difficulty. The range I visit has steel plate targets set up at various distances ranging from 200 to 500 yards, and the ballistic reticle is perfect for longer range shots. While the crosshairs are slightly thicker than those of much more expensive scopes with the same zoom power, it is a minor concern and only matters if you're trying to shoot a squirrel in the eye at 800 yards. If you're looking for a nice long-range scope for big game or target shooting at a reasonable price, this is the one. I will be purchasing another one soon for my wife's .270 build.

Takes the shock of a bolt action .308 excelent scope

As someone who loves shooting but has poor vision, I have had my fair share of struggles finding a shockproof scope that lives up to its promises. I made the mistake of putting a powerful scope on my Remington model 700 that claimed to be "Shockproof," but it fell apart after just 12 shocks. Thankfully, I discovered the Burris scope, and it has exceeded my expectations. I have shot well over 200 rounds with this scope, and it remains steady as a rock. Even after transporting it in its case over hill and dale, I can pull out my gun, and the scope remains on the mark. Burris deserves the credit for building such a robust and reliable scope. It can withstand the shock of a .308 bolt action and maintain its accuracy, even at full magnification. I recently used this scope in a 200-yard bench match, and it made me look like a pro! Of course, some credit goes to the Remington model 700, but the Burris scope played a significant role in my success. Overall, this is an excellent scope for the money, and I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a dependable, shockproof scope that can help you hit your targets with ease.

    Great scope for the price!

This scope is an excellent value for the price! Do not be swayed by the negative reviews. Let's be real, it's a $200 scope, and you cannot expect it to be on par with higher-priced scopes. You get what you pay for. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the clear optics of this scope. The adjustment knobs may not be the best, but you can still feel the clicks, and the whole eyepiece moves when adjusting the zoom. For a $200 scope, I have no complaints. It's a great scope for what you pay for, and I have no regrets about purchasing it. While I do plan to eventually buy a higher-end scope, this one works great for now.

Excellent scope for hunting in thick foliage

    5 out of 5
    Location:
    Date: March 3, 2023

This is an outstanding hunting scope with a magnification range of 6.5-20X and a 50mm objective lens. The reticle is bold on the outside edges, with medium wire thickness in the middle section and MOA hash marks strategically placed for distances ranging from 100-600 yards. The contrast of the reticle against foliage is exceptional, making it much easier to see compared to thin-etched reticles. The dark gray anodizing finish on the outside of the scope matches that of most AR rifles, while the parallax and magnification adjustments feel smooth and require moderate torque to change position. Although the entire eyepiece turns when increasing or decreasing magnification, this design feature has a few benefits, including fewer leak paths for nitrogen to escape. The turrets are low profile and have sealed threaded caps, which means the scope has fewer protrusions that can catch on clothing, brush, and other obstacles. The glass quality is typical for a medium-quality scope, but the clarity remains consistent throughout the magnification range. I am pleased to report that the scope is holding zero well with an AR10, as evidenced by the tight groupings at 100 yards (1/4"). This scope also comes with Burris' "Forever" warranty, which ensures peace of mind for the buyer. The scope is manufactured in the Philippines, and I was not paid by Burris or any other entity to provide an overwhelmingly positive review.

    Great Scope, Great Value

Although I own higher-priced scopes from a prominent manufacturer, I find myself using Burris scopes more frequently. Based on what I have observed, they are comparable and maybe even better than the other name brand, given their lower cost. The clarity of the Burris scope is excellent, and it is excellent at gathering light, which is crucial for my hunting area, where early shadows and dark backgrounds make light gathering critical. My stand faces east, and the sun sets behind me, causing the area to become dark quickly. However, this scope maintains clear visibility of objects even in lower light. I am thrilled with the cost and my purchase. If you plan to mount the scope yourself, like I did, I highly recommend using the Wheeler Scope Ring Lapper/Alignment, Wheeler Level System, and a reliable Wheeler torque screwdriver. Although I do not work for Wheeler or hold Wheeler stock, their products are always of excellent quality.
