Each Weaver mount base is machined to tight tolerances for a custom fit. These Aluminum bases offer maximum strength for rings to hold tight

Note: For the Weatherby Vanguard shimming is probably required for perfect scope alignment. or shorter tube scopes or red dot scopes use #402 extension front base or one-piece base if available. Extension base allows an extra .689"
