    You need these step drills.

If you plan on installing Uncle Mike's sling swivels, then it's highly recommended that you use these drills to prevent the drill bit from wandering around the stock during installation. While it's possible to install the swivels without these drills, doing so could lead to mistakes and potentially damage your stock. Therefore, these drills are incredibly useful and highly recommended to ensure a successful and problem-free installation process.

    Synthetic Stock worked perfectly

When the sling on the butt of my Thompson Center MZL (muzzleloader) broke, I wanted to fix it without having to pay a gunsmith a fortune. After watching a helpful YouTube video, I discovered the Uncle Mike 115 RGS Sling Swivel Screw Set and decided to purchase it. With this product, I was able to reattach a sling to my gun for less than $10.00. Now, I even have the necessary tools to fix any other guns I have that are missing slings. This is a great product that I would highly recommend.

While it's true that you don't necessarily need these bits to drill holes in a rifle stock, they certainly do make the process of installing sling swivels much easier. Personally, I'm not particularly skilled with an electric drill, so I'm grateful for any assistance I can get. With these bits, you're far less likely to make a mistake and damage your stock, which is why I'd recommend them. Even if you only end up using them once or twice, they're not too expensive, and it's always best to be prepared by including them in your gun tool kit.
