Coming
Soon: LightLink
The LightLink® series of products, available soon from
MSP, is an exciting new group of products designed to address
a need unfilled up to this date - providing shooters with
affordable detachable tactical lighting. While many companies
manufacture excellent tactical lighting products and excellent
flashlights, not everyone can afford a permanently mounted
dedicated tactical lighting system and a good flashlight as
well.
LightLink
is the first product of its kind - designed to permit almost
instantaneous deployment of common flashlights in a tactical
lighting role - and without tools of any kind. This bridging
technology, based on our patented torsion spring light retention
system, works without nuts, screws, bolts, or tools, and will
allow you to use your SureFire, Streamlight, A.S.P., Tac-Star,
or other light as both a flashlight - and as a tactical light.
There is no need to buy both a dedicated tactical light and
a flashlight as well.
How does
it work? LightLink products are an instant "snap-on/snap-off"
bridge between standard flashlights and firearms. No tools,
small screws, or time-consuming mounting is required. Just
snap your flashlight into LightLink and snap LightLink onto
your weapon - and you have immediate tactical lighting.
Is it
fast? Can it be quickly used in complete darkness without
tools? Absolutely! Even when drawing LightLink and your flashlight
from belt pouches, you can have your weapon aimed and your
target illuminated in mere seconds. First time users were
timed, starting with LightLink and a flashlight in a belt
pouch, and were firing aimed shots at illuminated targets
in under 20 seconds. With a little practice, the light can
be mounted and shots fired at illuminated targets in close
to 10 seconds.
Most importantly,
other flashlight mounts are solid and tend to break flashlight
bulbs since, unlike tactical lights, flashlights are not always
recoil shielded --- but no more. The patented LightLink torsion
spring light retention system provides just the right amount
of recoil absorption without letting the light beam move off
target. A standard flashlight will not break a bulb during
firing - even with heavy recoiling 12 gauge 3" magnum
buckshot loads!
Products
will initially be available for the Colt M-7 series. The original
LightLink will be available for the Colt AR-15/M-16, Mossberg
590, Ruger AC556/Mini-14GB, and other similar weapons.
This series
of long-gun products will be followed shortly by Models fitting
the M-1 Carbine, M-1 rifle, M-14, AK-47/74, Galil, FN-FAL,
HK 91/93/94/G3/MP5, Remington 870 and other common military
and law enforcement weapons.
Already
have an M-3 light for your Glock and want to use it on a shoulder
weapon? No problem. LightLink products will be available for
the M3/M5 lights, as well as the Laser Product and other "rail"
detachable lights. Imagine being able to use a single light
for all your tactical lighting needs - both long-gun and handgun.
For law enforcement, LightLink will be initially available
to mount the M3 light on a Remington 870 - the standard long
gun for most officers. With Lightlink and an M3 light, officers
can use a single light on both their Glock or Beretta 92 and
on their Remington 870 or Mossberg 590.
More importantly,
unlike other products, the LightLink does not require any
modification to most weapons and does not effect the warranty
on your handgun or long gun.
Want to
add a LightLink system to your weapon, but it isn't one of
the listed models? Again, no problem. For example, the ranching
owner of a Mini-14 might want to add the LightLink system
for nighttime predator control. Our patented LightLug can
be legally mounted on any weapon for use with the LightLink
systems.
The LightLink
systems will also be available for many common handguns. LightLink
will permit use of detachable rail lights - even if your weapon
does not have a Picatinny rail. For example, if you want to
use the Streamlight M-3 tactical light today, you must buy
a new model Glock or other pistol with a Picatinny rail cut
into the frame. With LightLink, you can use the M-3 on your
Glock - even if it is an older model without the rail - and
without modification of your weapon or magazine.
LightLink
is the economic solution to all your tactical lighting needs,
and will be available soon as another one of the top-line
products from Mounting Solutions Plus.
